For the new
2011-2012 version of the ZX-10R,
SC-Project has created a special
cone-shaped de-cat collector
completely made out of titanium,
which, used in combination with
the already excellent standard
collectors, notably increases
performance by around 5.5 hp at
average speeds and hugely
increases torque at all stages
of power delivery. The weight of
the exhaust is down from 6.8 kg
in the original exhaust to only
2.5 kg in the SC-Project GP M2
exhaust through the sole and
exclusive use of carbon and
titanium fibres both for the
connector and for the silencer
and the exhaust strap, which is
also made of carbon.
The special
cone-shaped titanium collector
has a 52>60 mm conic shape and,
when used in conjunction with
the GP M2 silencer (made out of
carbon fibre with caps and
exhaust pipe in titanium with
visible welding), allows the
standard exhaust of the new
Ninja to be transformed into a
complete system for all intents
and purposes. With its
racing-style looks, the GP M2
silencer is the replica of the
exhaust used in the Moto2 World
Championship by the JiR Team
with driver Alex De Angelis.
Supplied in a racing version,
not type-approved for road use,
the silencer is supplied as
standard with the removable db
killer, an essential component
for reducing decibels on some
tracks. The collector comes
equipped with housing for the
original Lambda sensor. |
