The new semi-complete SC-Project group for the Honda CB1000R consists in the exclusive de-cat 2-1 manifold with a single output on the right in "Low Position" made of AISI 304 reduced thickness stainless steel, coupled with various models of silencers available in titanium / carbon steel / stainless steel / black stainless steel with black carbon fiber cap for the oval version and stainless steel and carbon body for the Gp and Gp Evo versions. A street legal version is available with removable DB-Killer. The semi-complete group not only gives a truly racing look to the already super-agile naked bike produced by Honda, but it also guarantees a marked drop in weight of around 9 kg compared to the standard version; it also has a larger catalyst and steel silencer, which leads to a significant increase in terms of handling and riding feeling. The component is fitted with housing for a Lambda probe. A marked increase in performance plus a sharp reduction in the heat emitted from the original catalyst is also guaranteed. Upon request, further to the complete de-cat semi-group kit, a specific additional and adjustable electronic “Memjet” power unit is also available; this intervenes on a number of sensors that are already on your bike and allows you to change the output values by adjusting carburetion with different spark timing and injection times; this significantly increases output and torque performances in combination with the SC-Project exhaust kit, guaranteeing complete safety and preventing any damage to the engine. The substantial improvements recorded for the Honda CB 1000 R on the test bench are the result of the perfect coupling between the de-cat semi-group and the extra Memjet power unit.
Removing the original catalyst, given the configuration of the original engine with a single catalyst located in the central part of the manifolds, you get the same effects, benefits and features of a catalyst free setup. The removal of the catalyst causes significant depletion of the original carburetion values, which have standard calibration for a Euro 3 catalyzed motorbike. In order therefore to eliminate the on-and-off effect and to achieve maximum performance in terms of output and maximum torque, especially at low and mid-range engine speeds, it is recommended to install the additional Memjet power unit to adapt the CO values as far as possible to the specifications of the component we manufacture. |
