SC-Project
has
developed a range of
silencers
for
the new BMW
R
1200 R,
with the aim to
increase performance
and
significantly reduce
the
weight of the
exhaust,
toward
adding
a
touch of
sportiness
to
the
German
roadster. |

The
range of
oval
exhausts
is
available
in
three finishes,
titanium,
carbon
fiber
and
black satin-finished
stainless steel,
always with
the characteristic
final cap in
carbon fibre
that is matched
perfectly
to
the bike,
rendering it
sleek and
lightening
the bike rear end.
It
is also available in
the
R60 version,
with the classic
60mm
end. |

The
increase in
performance amounts
to
more than
4hp
of
maximum power, and
the heat exiting the
exhaust
is
significantly
reduced through the
use
of
materials such as
titanium and
carbon fiber
which
dissipate
heat better.
Noteworthy
is
the reduction
in
weight,
passing from the
4.4kg
of
the original exhaust
to
1.9kg
for the
SC-Project
exhaust,
with a reduction
of
2.5kg
equal to more than
50%
of
the
weight, a
factor that
improves
handling
of
the bike. |

All terminals
are available in
the approved version
with the DB
killer
and are compatible
with either the
side bags
or
with the
original BMW centre
stand
inasmuch
as
the
kit includes
a
special stop
stand. |
